The sum sanction owder & 187 under Report and Estimate 729 of 18608 $3, has been expended and it becomes recessu to apply for a small additional sum to complete the work. The cause of the origin Estimate being exceeded to two circumstances, firstly to fact that Old Retaining walls on being opened for
xamination, were found too insecur safely raised, they were accordingly pulled. down and re-built. Secon
a large block the hardest description of Granite has been met with in the cutting at the West end of
the Road, this rock which extends the whole width of the Road and is about 15 feet in length has to be removed by Blasting a depth of y feet. Provision for the furthe expenditure will be made in the suppleme
of
Estimates.
